Hear me out - I know most people just love their shimmers, satins and foils but I have to say Emme Cosmetic mattes have me re-examining how we treat out mattes. We most certainly are not loving them enough and its likely because we didn't have mattes from Emme Cosmetics. The other day I was going for a minimalist base for my eyeshadow look and so I took Smoky Plum and first worked it into my crease and then lightly brought it up to just a bit under my brow. (I have pretty deep skin - Fenty 445 so the color is not too dark for me to take far up). The entire skin on my eyes looked like new baby's bottom - it was so smooth and perfect- I though "What Sorcery is this??!!" It was then that I began to truly realize just how great Emme's matte formula is. I wonder if she is putting some sort of skin care elixir into these mattes because I don't think my skin has ever looked this good using mattes before. My dry skin looks hydrated, relaxed like it had just come back from vacation, rested like it had slept for a full eight hours with no interruptions, and slightly dewey like I may have been backwards. Whatever it is, I love it and now I have a special kind of love for Smoky Plum that awoken me to this happy place for my eyes. Smoky Plum is now part of my brown girl magic eyeshadow collection. This collection are shadows I can quickly apply in a matter of seconds when I'm in a rush and they help me achieve a wonderful no makeup makeup look - ready to head out the door in minutes. The other Emme matte in this specific arsenal is Paris. I feel that every brown girl with deep skin needs these two shades her "natural" makeup arsenal.
